Laughing, Laughing, Laughing
There once was a bitter old man named BonnettHe had no love for sonnetts
He was a man from Oswego
Who did bite heads as he did go
Then one day while on his way
He ran smack dab into a puzzle
He was stopped dead in his tracks
As he watched a yound boy who was blind
The puzzle you see was that he found a tear in his eye
Now Bonnett you see was stunned and was scared
Then suddenly the fear turned to joy
As he saw what the boy was doing
With a twinkle in his eye
Although he could not see
The boy was playing, playing, playing with his friends
As he went skipping, skipping, skipping down the street
Laughing, laughing, laughing all his way long
Then Bonnett went and did a very strange thing
He got on his knees and prayed for the boy to see
Then to his surprise
The boy did come to him with a smile so big
He danced a jiggity, jig, jig
The boy said thank you sir
I was blind, but now I see
And the Lord did the same for thee
The boy did then run back to his friends
Bonnett's heart did grow ten times that day
To everyone's surpriseand with elation in his heart
He went skipping, skipping, skipping down the street
Singing, singing, singing a song of joy in his heart
Laughing, laughing, laughing all his way long
