Alienation
Made some very dumb movesI got upset over something trivial
Basically kicking everyone out
As soon as it happened, I died
Without really meaning to
I managed to drive them all away
In one foul swoop, my friends ran
From then on, I was not liked
My peers had voted against me
Theater people are a sensitive lot
Although I finished the season
On a somewhat positive note
I lost many friends over my pride
Even being accused of gluttony
Someone came home and indulged
They ate a whole pot of spaghetti
My roommate had made a bit earlier
I was apparently the first one home
So naturally I was blamed
Couldn't prove otherwise
Not even to save my life
Except that I then went and made dinner
Three years later, I went back
As an actor in a Shakespearean play
To a much more positive atmosphere
All had been forgiven or at least forgotten
Looking back though, one wishes to change
Those mishaps and acts of stupidity and pride
