Walk To The Gallows
A ghastly sight to beholdWatching someone swing in the wind
That's one point of view
But how about the intended?
How do they feel?
What's running through their mind?
Praying for a miracle I suppose
That would be about right
Are they sorry?
Some are, some not, some even innocent
The walk begins from the waiting cell
It is forever, that hundred mile walk
Up those stairs to the noose
To the men who enforce the fate
Of the wicked and the evil
And even the innocent
