AND STILL I WAIT
I dial the number,
AND STILL I WAIT
Then it rings, and rings, and….
STILL I WAIT.
I wonder what will this day bring?
Any word from you would surely
Make my day.
AND STILL I WAIT.
Hoping you’ll walk my way.
The frost covers my window pain.
I shiver expecting a winter’s rain.
AND STILL I WAIT.
Just the thought of you brings a smile to my face.
Causing my heart to race.
AND STILL I WAIT.
With a sigh, of despair
I wonder if these feelings,
You share.
AND STILL I WAIT.
Slowly I draw a smiley face upon the frosty glass
AND STILL I WAIT.
Wondering how many moments will pass.
Moments without hearing from you.
AND STILL I WAIT.
I write a little ditty,
So you’ll know how I feel.
But you seem not to get it.
And I wonder what’s real.
AND STILL I WAIT.
Have I wasted my words,
On your ears?
Losing you is what I fear.
AND STILL I WAIT.
You write me things
That makes my heart soar.
And I’m left to wonder;
Do they mean more?
AND STILL I WAIT.
You deny to yourself
What exactly I mean to you.
Tell me now,
Are your feelings true?
When you decide,
Will it be too late?
AND STILL I WAIT.
