FORGETTING
I stopped loving you
Today.
With my broken heart;
You can no longer play.
Standing in a rain shower.
To wash away the memories
I think you were In love with the idea the fantasy of me
And not the reality.
No more of your lies;
Will I be regretting.
Now I’m living through;
The forgetting.
Forgetting your name,
Forgetting your face.
Forgetting how;
You made my heart race.
Forgetting the lies that you loved;
Only me.
Forgetting the sweet words;
That flowed from your lips.
Forgetting the way you made
My heart flip.
Now I know it’s someone else’s ear
You whisper those sweet words to.
Once bitten; twice shy.
Left me the fool.
