KISSES ON THE WIND
I blew a kiss;
Into the wind today.
Hoping to you;
It would find its way.
Across the great lakes.
Down the bottom,
Of the mitt.
Hoping to find you,
As its target to hit.
Traveling to that place;
Where the colts run.
Caressing your cheek.
Like the rays;
Of the sun.
Storm clouds gather trying to steal;
My kiss to you.
But in it’s strength and determination;
It finds it’s way through.
When it finally reaches where you are.
Will you cherish it and keep it;
Within your glass jar?
Unscrewing and pulling off that lid.
Releasing the feelings;
You've always hid.
Appreciating the comfort of,
A kiss on the wind.
A kiss sent especially;
For my friend.
