THE FENCE
My journey found me;
On the other side,
Of the fence.
I walked that fine line,
Into foliage;
Too dense.
Fighting my way through,
The clinging branches;
And thorns.
Only to meet;
The angel with horns.
For you see; my fine
balancing act.
A sense of faith I lacked.
Along that fences rail.
I stumbled;
And I failed.
Landing on the side where;
Souls screamed and fires burned.
But, my faith won out.
Remembering the lessons;
I'd learned.
Believing and trusting in my faith;
"I believe in God!"
I'd shout.
The fallen angel Lucifer,
Would have none of this.
He kicked me out.
Back over the fence;
I soon found my way.
To the Lord's loving arms;
I returned today.
You may falter along your path.
No matter how much,
You take care.
But, always remember;
God's love,
Is always there.
