I made the heavens,

And the earth?

Were you looking;

When I gave you my child,

From the moment,

Of his birth?

Were you looking;

When he made a blind,

Man see?

Were you looking;

When I parted the sea?

Were you looking;

When they betrayed

My son;

And took his life away?

Were you looking;

Or, did you just turn,

And look away.

Were you looking;

When his blood for you,

Was shed.

Were you looking;

When they placed a crown of thorns,

Upon his head?

Were you looking;

When he returned to life?

Did you know;

I’d understand,

All of man’s trials and strife?

Were you looking;

When my child died,

To offer you eternal life?

Were you looking;

When I came to you in your troubled,

Times today.

Were you looking;

Or did you choose,

To simply walk away?
