TRIPPING ON MY HEART
You made it look so easy
A different love,
you'd find.
But what of the love,
you'd left behind?
Tired of waiting,
you shouldn't hold the blame.
You simply got tired,
of the waiting game.
But that doesn't stop,
the heart to break.
Will letting me go,
be your mistake?
Once again,
having my heart broke
so completely.
I wonder why,
it continues to
surprise me.
Do the tears that,
I shed.
Fall upon,
an ocean's bed?
Where they will collect and
flow away.
As if they never mattered,
or seemed to exist.
Vanishing into,
a waterfalls mist.
You say we can still be friends,
But I trip on my broken heart,
that keeps getting in the way.
Tired of loves game,
I no longer
want to play.
