TIME HAS A TASTE
I could never comprehend;
How a moment could be sweet.
Or how a memory could sour.
Why salt reminds me of shame.
And a snowflake on the tongue,
Makes me a child again.
Your lips taste like guilt.
Time definitely has a taste.
Metallic is the taste that fills my mouth,
Waiting to hear,
If you love me.
Salty is the taste after the journey of my tears,
Reaches my lips;
When I find that you don’t.
Love me any more.
Bitterness fills my mouth,
So it’s difficult to speak.
When I find you’ve replaced me,
After only a week.
Time definitely has a taste.
