Today, is a day,

I wish I could walk with you.

Hand in hand.

Not always having to talk.

Because even in our silence;

We understand.

A perfect day for a walk;

With my friend.

The kind of day;

You wish,

Would never end.

The sun shining bright.

Not a cloud in the sky.

Just watching the world;

Pass us by.

A light breeze ruffles

Our hair.

We walk hand in hand.

A comfortable pair.

Occasionally our steps match

 in perfect cadence.

As we enjoy watching leaves falling to the water

 creating;

The perfect dance.

Ever mindful

 of my disability.

You slow to my pace;

My reality.

You encourage;

Every step I take.

And I treasure;

The memories

We make.

The perfect temperature;

Not to hot not too cold.

Content;

With the hand,

We  hold.

Under much protest on your guitar;

You played me a song.

Reminding me this friendship;

Is anything but wrong.

So I’ll close my eyes;

And imagine you here.

Walking with me;

My friend so dear.

With every step along the way.

I thank God he;

Put you in my life today.
