CAN YOU HEAR ME
Sands of time slip through my hand.
Looking about all alone I stand.
Searching for the key I need to find.
But sorrow shields me so that I am blind.
How can I keep searching for you,
When all of these clouds shadow my view?
I want to hold on, but I lose my grip.
Did I jump, or did I only slip?
No answers are found in the night
And when day comes, I’m blinded by light.
When I reach out to touch your face,
You’re not there and my heart starts to race.
When I call your name, you do not hear,
I tremble inside but feel no fear.
What is wrong, why aren’t my tears falling?
And when I cry out, why can’t you hear me calling?
