BROKEN WINGS
Today an angel,
Tumbled from heaven's;
Pearly gate.
I tried to catch her,
But I arrived too late.
She lay there curled up,
in pain.
She tried to fly away again;
But flight,
She could not gain.
What caused her to fall,
from such a;
lofty height?
Perhaps it was the state,
of the human plight.
Where we are too quick,
To judge one another.
Where we cause harm,
To our own brothers.
Watching as we destroy the earth;
Created from God's,
own hands.
There were no loving arms to catch her,
Before she'd land.
Only our love, understanding,
and forgiveness;
Can heal her broken wing.
But, it's going to take
Humankinds,
abilities for,
Forgiving.
Tumbled from heaven's;
Pearly gate.
I tried to catch her,
But I arrived too late.
She lay there curled up,
in pain.
She tried to fly away again;
But flight,
She could not gain.
What caused her to fall,
from such a;
lofty height?
Perhaps it was the state,
of the human plight.
Where we are too quick,
To judge one another.
Where we cause harm,
To our own brothers.
Watching as we destroy the earth;
Created from God's,
own hands.
There were no loving arms to catch her,
Before she'd land.
Only our love, understanding,
and forgiveness;
Can heal her broken wing.
But, it's going to take
Humankinds,
abilities for,
Forgiving.
