ON YOUR WINGS
On your wings;
You lift me.
Bringing me joy;
Setting me free.
Just when I can almost;
Touch the stars.
When you lift me;
Up so far.
You bring me quickly;
Back to earth.
Placing me back;
On the ground.
Making it hard to figure out;
What is this relationship,
I've found?
Some days;
You make me soar.
My spirits so high;
I cry out for more.
Just as quickly you;
Take that away.
Returning me to;
The valley's.
Where there's;
No sun's ray.
you toy with my emotions;
You toy with my heart.
I never know when;
This flight will end,
Or of it will even start.
Perhaps to you;
This is all a game.
So you really can't be held;
To blame.
Just because I'm lonely and;
Long to fly.
I shouldn't expect you to;
Help me reach,
The sky.
The lines were drawn;
The limits set.
But there are times;
The limits,
I want to forget.
