BOX OF CHOCOLATES
You're like a box of chocolates;
Sometimes nutty,
Sometimes sweet.
Your friendship makes me;
Feel complete.
I never know on any,
given day.
What surprise;
You'll bring my way.
Will you caress my tongue;
With Carmel delight.
Encouraging me;
To never give up the fight.
Or will a nutty presence surprise me?
Making me laugh repeatedly.
Will I poke holes in each delight;
To discover who ,
you are inside?
Or will I only open your box;
On days,
I cried.
Each gooey treat a pleasure upon my;
Lips today.
Surprising me with every new thing,
That you say.
I could never turn down;
One more taste.
To simply close the box;
Would be a waste.
Will you melt on my tongue;
Or in my hand?
One thing I know;
Your many varieties,
I understand.
If each facet were the same.
Would I tire of this guessing game?
I hope the surprises never end.
And that you'll always;
Be my friend.
