predator
Into the night I wandered,
pondering;
the cloak of darkness.
Darkness,
that surrounded my very soul.
When from the silent abyss.
A feeling; not a sound or vision,
touched my trembling skin.
The hair at my nape,
danced in nervous wonder.
Sensing the eyes;
gauging my worth.
knowing soon,
I would know my predators intent.
Would I shiver in desire,
or cry out for my very existence?
Would the outcome be quick,
over in but a heartbeat?
Or, would my stalker toy with me,
drawing out its desires upon my very soul.
Would I survive,
to once again;
ponder the cloak of darkness?
