ROSE COLORED LIES
Along your path I traveled
Blinded to your flaws;
Perhaps my rose colored glasses were the cause.
Believing in only your false lies.
Ignoring the trail of tears I had cried.
Forgetting the hurt you always brought.
In your tangled web I’m forever caught.
You painted your world of deceit and pain.
Hid away the gathering clouds and rain.
You made me believe in so much more.
But a bite into your forbidden fruit,
I find it rotten to the core.
You fooled them all with,
a rose colored vision To please.
But your lies and deception brought me to my knees.
