Waiting
I'm still waiting,
waiting to hear your laughter.
I'm waiting to look into your eyes.
Waiting to feel your hand in mine,
waiting for you to realize.
I'm waiting for the memories to vanish.
One last time,
your spirit slowly fades.
Until there is just a shell of who you used to be,
left behind.
Nothing else,
remains here.
Sadly I wipe from my cheek,
the final tear.
I'm waiting,
Waiting for the final prayer.
Waiting for my final release.
As you're placed in the ground,
I whisper;
rest in peace.
