Crumbling Life
Cos the world you knew is long gone
And all your works are bested and done
Time has played its final hand, darkened your sun
And you have nowhere else to run
Everything moves at such a pace
And you feel oh so far from Gods grace,
A growing shadow covering your face,
Nothing left but history to chase,
You’re fed up of the game
Your candle flickering its dimming flame
The hope you dreamed of never came,
Left now with nothing but your ageing name
There is an aching in every bone
You feel as though you’re turning into stone
Crumbling flesh reminding you of the unknown,
Death, of which all mortals are prone,
