Wondering gazes
Never thought I would feel like this,
Never thought I could,
A whirl wind fantasy
Of something I now see
Will never, ever be,
I thought to change myself,
But then what would I be,
Could I live the lying life,
Of one who changed for thee?
Would you be loving me?
Would it be me loving you?
So I stopped the thinking part,
Just drifted in my imagination,
I wondered if you knew,
I wondered if you cared,
But if the friendly glance is all you’ll spare,
Don’t worry, don’t mind me,
I was never really there.
