On the death of a child
A singular experience,
Has changed a lifelong hope
Seeing you, young, innocent
Broken in two upon the road
I know God cannot care
For mere mortals wandering near,
Sucking up to priests' of glory
Cannot save your immortal soul
A child, twice blessed,
Torn from life, chqnged
Into some beast of hope
A twisted lie
For misplaced faith
His parents weep, shaking
In laughing horror,
Screaming mother, clings
To hopeless father.
