Be you Hero or Villain?
If our story is ever told
Who will be the Hero
Or the hated villain?
Will the scars, bright
Against my skin
Stand forth crowning me?
Or will my revenge be known
And judged from all?
The child who read such stories
Doesn't care to any more
But the tales she knew
Bounce around her mind
Playing their symphony of pain
For everytime you broke her
You read a story for each wound
And healed in blistering fire
The weeping on her skin,
You thought to mask
All pain in fantasy
A tragedy made real
Dissolved by pen and ink
This is your cruelty, your kindness
Are you villain?
While now she lies alone
Dreaming of nights you came
And took innocence away
Dreaming of the night
She dreamt your retribution
And now at the end of it all
She is the only one standing
You lies across a million miles
Bones, flesh and soul
Scattered to the unforgiving winds
This is her pain, her vengence
Is she villain?
Now in these new stories
Who is Villain and Hero
Heaven and Hell don't care
At the end of life
They shall both collect
Good, bad, light and dark
Hold no meaning
Are nothing,
Just actions, life and death
Who will be the Hero
Or the hated villain?
Will the scars, bright
Against my skin
Stand forth crowning me?
Or will my revenge be known
And judged from all?
The child who read such stories
Doesn't care to any more
But the tales she knew
Bounce around her mind
Playing their symphony of pain
For everytime you broke her
You read a story for each wound
And healed in blistering fire
The weeping on her skin,

And now at the end of it all
