Natures Lost Lament
The crashing of the waves
Drowns out the howling sobs,
In a place only I have found,
Here the water flies in madness,
Making life seem so simple,
But every drop of water
Has its part to play,
Building a music man has forgotten,
Singing a song we no longer know,
It is only in moments of sadness,
When life’s blood and water
Touch the raging storm
That we come close to hearing
The ancient psalms,
Sung by Mother Nature
To heal the pain of living,
Walking and breathing on her soil,
So I submerge my mortal frame,
Just to feel her pull,
To hear her muffled words
And lament with her
At life so cruelly bartered,
How innocence has morphed,
Into the crazed being of society,
How conformity has dulled
The senses man had honed,
Her hum so beautiful and calming
Is but the poor man’s cure,
For if we heard the words themselves,
All would fall on bended knee
To power, love and strength,
There would be no more wars
If we heard the ground scream
With every misplaced shot,
There would be no more pain,
If we understood why the sky cries
All winter long,
