The Last Un-answered question
i had hoped that time
Would dull the pain of living,
Stead it just sharpened
All the hateful things you did,
I gave you my love,
I devoted all my being
To keeping you alive
Through the good days
And those when you couldn't stand,
I stood by you every day
Even whe you couldn't tell my name,
Then I heard the truth of things,
Heard why you were dying,
The reason I grew up to fqst,
Only to see the light dim in your eyes,
The hate you felt for me,
Resentment coursing through your body,
Like the illness killing you,
Then at the end of everything,
You seemed to forget
The only question I ever asked you,
I asked the why of certain things,
I asked why you sent me away,
And I asked why you had him sent away
When sending me back
Would have saved your life,
Stead you died, left me
To forever know
I, your child,
Had sentenced you to death
Would dull the pain of living,
Stead it just sharpened
All the hateful things you did,
I gave you my love,
I devoted all my being
To keeping you alive
Through the good days
And those when you couldn't stand,
I stood by you every day
Even whe you couldn't tell my name,
Then I heard the truth of things,
Heard why you were dying,
The reason I grew up to fqst,
Only to see the light dim in your eyes,
The hate you felt for me,
Resentment coursing through your body,
Like the illness killing you,
Then at the end of everything,
You seemed to forget
The only question I ever asked you,
I asked the why of certain things,
I asked why you sent me away,
And I asked why you had him sent away
When sending me back
Would have saved your life,
Stead you died, left me
To forever know
I, your child,
Had sentenced you to death
