The truth in a new day
I am facing a new dawn
Life begins again
And the past must rest
I bid farewell to the child
Who believed the illusions
I’m turning off the light
Too much is hidden
In its reflective glare
Finally I see some truths
I feel my hand
A series of joints
A beautiful machine
Built for a purpose
Of which no longer believe
I used to follow the river
Put up with the rapids
Let it throw me about
Leaving me dizzy
Lost and confused
Not now, I’m going upstream
Following a new road
Beating a path in jagged rock
I feel so alive
Strange how fresh the air is
This far from you
No more lies
No more illusions
I summon you to me
Tonight you will come
And I will wait
I am sitting by the fire
That chair, yes that one
I reserved it just for you!
How do you like it?
Customized you know?
Crafted chains of the mind
They’ll bind you tight
So now tell me the truth
I am old enough to know
All the lies you sold
I have paid in blood
I gave you a part of my soul
So tell me what I paid for!
Do you remember
All those years ago?
I was just a child
Sleeping so trustingly
You opened my eyes
In so many ways
Did you know that?
So no enough’s enough
Tell me what I need to know
I want the truth
What really happened
All those years ago?
Life begins again
And the past must rest
I bid farewell to the child
Who believed the illusions
I’m turning off the light
Too much is hidden
In its reflective glare
Finally I see some truths
I feel my hand
A series of joints
