Finger Memory
I lay down to sleep
And my wandering mind
Goes back to you
Always you
To the place we sat
Shared our first kiss
Such heat and bliss
The same spark of happiness
Grows again in me
When I look at you
When we speak
A finger, tracing
your pale skin
Seeing what eyes do not
They remember
What I choose to forget
So I turn to these fingers
Pads smooth,
Look at them and remember
Then I know,
I will see you again
And I smile,
Filled with happiness,
Only you, only you...
And my wandering mind
Goes back to you
Always you
To the place we sat
Shared our first kiss
Such heat and bliss
The same spark of happiness
Grows again in me
When I look at you
When we speak
A finger, tracing
your pale skin
Seeing what eyes do not
They remember
What I choose to forget
So I turn to these fingers
Pads smooth,
Look at them and remember
Then I know,
I will see you again
And I smile,
Filled with happiness,
Only you, only you...
