Suvival, Drifting
She cares not for the world
As it has cared for her,
She’s walked in the darkness
That others live to ignore,
The truth of being alone
Till company means naught
There comes a point, she knows,
Where no love is strong enough
To light her fading path,
All she knows are truths
Of surviving, never touching
The world she is surrounded by.
She used to feel the loneliness
The need to crash into another
Just to feel alive,
But that has passed
The gap between her and the world
A gaping void she has no need to cross
And though they try to show her
The joy in being alive
She knows she’ll never understand,
Doesn’t need or want to anymore
As it has cared for her,
She’s walked in the darkness
That others live to ignore,
The truth of being alone
Till company means naught
There comes a point, she knows,
Where no love is strong enough
To light her fading path,
All she knows are truths
Of surviving, never touching
The world she is surrounded by.
She used to feel the loneliness
The need to crash into another
Just to feel alive,
But that has passed
The gap between her and the world
A gaping void she has no need to cross
And though they try to show her
The joy in being alive
She knows she’ll never understand,
Doesn’t need or want to anymore
