No Sun, Lost
You wake up every morning,
To the same old desolation,
The sun forgot to light your room again,
And the papers wet beside the trash,
You plod your dreary way to work,
Wondering why the bus left early,
And if your boss is nursing one again,
All seems so pointless now your alone,
But then you never were together,
Not really,
More like the modern partnership,
Two lost and empty minds,
Seeking oblivion in anothers arms,
Gone now, like it always was really,
Compounds the loneliness,
That's followed you forever,
But no-one sees,
They can't, not when they're just as lost,
They just drift by you,
Freaks of nature, no emotions,
Cos thinking hurts too much,
And God can't reach their hearts,
Science only baffles them,
Children laugh at them,
And poets write of them,
But don't see,
Cos they're just as lost,
As the man who woke without the sun
To the same old desolation,
The sun forgot to light your room again,
And the papers wet beside the trash,
You plod your dreary way to work,
Wondering why the bus left early,
And if your boss is nursing one again,
All seems so pointless now your alone,
But then you never were together,
Not really,
More like the modern partnership,
Two lost and empty minds,
Seeking oblivion in anothers arms,
Gone now, like it always was really,
Compounds the loneliness,
That's followed you forever,
But no-one sees,
They can't, not when they're just as lost,
They just drift by you,
Freaks of nature, no emotions,
Cos thinking hurts too much,
And God can't reach their hearts,
Science only baffles them,
Children laugh at them,
And poets write of them,
But don't see,
Cos they're just as lost,
As the man who woke without the sun
